In 1973 Seiko-Epson introduced the 06LC, the first LCD watch to reach the market. Its display proved reliable and helped turn digital watches into an icon of the following decade.

This collection preserves the watches that impressed me as a child. Their craftsmanship, finishes and engineering make them far more than disposable quartz watches.

The collection is organised around movements. The goal is to document the broad range of LCD modules manufactured by Seiko and the different functions each one introduced.
